A founding Shareholder of Winter Trimacco, Courtney focuses her practice on the defense of professional liability, commercial, casualty, employment, and securities matters, with a particular emphasis on professional liability and catastrophic injury disputes. In addition, Courtney also has represented professional athletes and coaches as a Certified NFLPA Agent. Among other appointments, Courtney serves on the Board of the American Diabetes Association of Northeast Ohio.
Courtney earned her Juris Doctorate in May of 2007 from The University of Toledo School of Law, cum laude, where she served as a teaching assistant to Constitutional Law and Civil Procedure courses, was named to the Dean's List, and was the recipient of The Mahoning County Bar Association Scholarship. As a law student, Courtney was a member of law review and served as Technical Editor for the University of Toledo Law Review. Courtney's legal publications include K.M. v. E.G., My Two Moms: California Courts Hold That a Child Can Have Two Natural Mothers, which was published in the Spring 2007 edition of The University of Toledo Law Review.
Courtney is Rated AV® Preeminent™: Very Highly Rated in Both Legal Ability and Ethical Standards by Martindale Hubbell Peer Review, and has been recognized as a Rising Star by Ohio Super Lawyers Magazine in 2022. She is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association and was named a Fellow of the Ohio State Bar Foundation by its Board of Trustees in 2016. She is also a member of the American Bar Association, Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association and the Junior League of Cleveland.
